Arkansas is on track to shatter its medical marijuana sales record with over $240.9 million in sales recorded through the first ten months of 2025, marking a 5.75% increase from the same period last year. With sales figures steadily climbing, the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) anticipates surpassing the previous annual record of $284 million. In October alone, sales reached $25.2 million, demonstrating the robust demand for medical cannabis in the state

The Arkansas Department of Health reports that there are currently 112,760 active patient cards, reflecting a strong base of medical cannabis users. Despite this growth, the state has been cautious in expanding its dispensary network, with 38 out of a possible 40 licenses awarded. Secretary of Finance Jim Hudson has expressed no urgency in issuing the final two licenses. Meanwhile, Governor Sarah Huckabee recently vetoed a bill that would have expanded access by permitting drive-thru services and loosening delivery regulations, citing concerns over increased marijuana availability
